I love animals, no matter what I've said about them in the past. I love nice cats, dogs, mice, rats and gerbils, provided they don't bite me, but I'm allergic to all of them, so if you hear me whining about them, that's why.
But even more importantly, I'm much more allergic to Oil of Bergamot, so if you're going to offer me a cuppa, make sure it isn't Earl Grey. Ian, this includes you and your pitcher of iced tea. I'm freakin' sick here, thanks to your concoction of tea and want you to know I'm keeping an eye on you. Thanks for your help tonight, but from now on, I'm drinking all of your Jones Soda when I'm over to play videogames, and you can drink your poisoned tea.

What does Bergamot do to you?
I think it is in many things besides earl grey. I'm fairly certain a lot of perfumes and lotions contain it.
How about other citrus fruits?
Severe gastro-intestinal distress. It may be the reason I'm allergic to certain perfumes, though I've never tried eating any.
Never noticed any effects from citrus fruits, but certain chocolates that may contain extracts have effected me, so there may be a link. It's nothing major, I just try to avoid foods that have bothered me in the past.
How about the meat from pets?
This might give you abdominal distress for other, more ethically based reasons--I know it would me. But I've heard there are Peruvian Style restaurants in the US that serve Guinea Pig. I'm not sure if I'd be up for it;the rodentia I've sampled thus far have been nothing to write home about.
